This policy explains how Hungry Tum collects, uses and protects your personal data. Hungry Tum is operated by Shinkai Labs Ltd, trading as Big Appetite (“we”, “us”), the data controller. You can reach us at hello@hungrytum.co.

What we collect

We collect the details you give us when you request a Growth Score, join Hungry Tum for free, join a waitlist or contact us. This includes your email, your chosen business priority and any optional email-marketing preference, plus any other details you provide. We also collect basic usage data through analytics and cookies, including pages visited and device type.

How we use it

If you ask to join Hungry Tum for free, we use your email to confirm you control it, activate membership, help you get started and respond to the business priority you select. Free membership does not grant access to paid products or a restaurant workspace. We send promotional email tips, offers and marketing only where we have a valid legal basis, including your optional consent when you tick the marketing box. Not ticking the box does not stop membership. We also use data to reply to enquiries, provide our services and understand how the site works. Where applicable we rely on consent, legitimate interests or contract-related processing.

Your email choices

You can join for free without opting into marketing. You can withdraw marketing consent or unsubscribe at any time using the link in promotional emails, or by contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not cancel free membership or prevent the essential emails needed to verify and manage it.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that help us run Hungry Tum, such as our email delivery, analytics and hosting providers, and only so they can perform those services for us. We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies and analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, the Meta Pixel to measure our adverts, and our own analytics, which keeps an anonymous id in your browser and records which pages and buttons are used. None of them runs until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Decline, we remember that, use only what is needed to run the site, and delete any anonymous id already stored. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the site footer. The logged-in Growth workspace never uses any of them.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as we need it to provide the service and to meet our legal obligations, then we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete or transfer your data, and you can object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, email hello@hungrytum.co. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
